Slowly moving this blog to my own wordpress blog

These days I am learning how to use Wordpress.  I know my learning curve is like molasses - but this old dog is trying to learn the kind of tricks all the new kids on the block are using to communicate.  (did I just use and mix two old clichés in one sentence?)
